Kids in the Community
Kids in the Community takes musical theatre performances to places where children and families gather. Since 1989, our Resident Company of Youth Actors (1st – 12th grade) has performed KWC original musicals at schools, hospitals, Boys and Girls Clubs, gala events for other non-profits, and community festivals. About 50% of these performances are provided at no cost to the hosting organizations.
Nights of Giving
Nights of Giving is a collaborative effort between Kids Who Care, the Junior League of Fort Worth and area social service agencies that serve families. Agency clients are invited to attend a live theater performance at no charge so they can enjoy a normal family outing.
Birdies for Charity
KWC is one of the many Fort Worth non-profit organizations participating in the Colonial Golf Tournament’s Birdies for Charity program. Birdies for Charity is a fun way to contribute to your favorite charity while following the PGA Tour Pros as they play in the Charles Schwab Invitational at the Colonial Country Club May 22-28, 2023.
Join us for KWC’s Single Largest Fundraiser! You’ll be part of the magic when Fort Worth Chefs and Notable Texans compete in a fast paced “Chopped” style cookoff that supports the mission of KWC Performing Arts. It’s our ONLY all adult party all year! Stay tuned for the next Cookin’ in October 2023! We Can’t Help Kids and Teens Act on Their Dreams Without YOU!
Our Hope Scholarship Program removes financial barriers by providing tuition support for musical theatre and leadership education and experience.
Tickets & Transportation
Our Tickets and Transportation program ensures low-income students are exposed to live theatre by providing grant-supported tickets and transportation to attend KWC productions at the Scott Theatre.
