Sara Collins grew up in the Fort Worth area. However, surprisingly, did not grow up as a Kids Who Care kid.
Initially, she was introduced to KWC through the university/young professional program in 2019 and has remained with the company, serving in various roles ever since. She was officially welcomed as a member of the year-round team in 2021 as the company returned to the office from the pandemic.
Sara graduated with honors earning a B.F.A. in Theatre Performance & Production with an emphasis in Management, Design, and Directing and a minor in Business Administration from Texas State University. During her time in college, she was honored to have the opportunity to study at The University of Oxford and a Shakespeare intensive with The Royal Shakespeare Company in Stratford and The Globe Theatre in London.
She has served in multiple roles within the theatrical and non-profit industries. While she started as an actor, her theatrical experience has grown to include years of experience in costume design and stage management, with directing and writing jobs in between.
Passionate for new works, musicals, non-profits, and bringing impossible ideas to life, Sara is excited to help this incredible team launch the next chapter for KWC Performing Arts.
